If, based on these results, you have met the minimum qualifications to apply to AUCA in one or more of our academic departments, we expect you to submit your application for admission to AUCA: In addition, you must email scans of any supporting documents that you did not submit during testing to by April 15, 2011. You can find the list of required supporting documents by visiting this page:

Also, if you are planning to apply for financial aid, the Financial Aid application with scans of all the supporting documents should be emailed to no later than April 15, 2011. The Financial Aid application can be downloaded from this page:

After you submit your application, we will contact you to arrange a telephone interview with your department, which will take place sometime on April 22-25, 2011.

If, based on these results, you did not meet the minimum requirements to apply to AUCA, we invite you to retake the AUCA Admission Exam (AAE) in Bishkek on April 02, 2011. Please contact the Admissions Office at if you would like to retake the AAE in Bishkek.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

To apply for financial aid, students must fill out an application for financial aid (also available from the Scholarships and Financial Aid Office, Main Building, room 103, or by email: 

When sumbitting the financial aid application to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, students must also submit all necessary verification documents (i.e. attestations or tax records as listed in the
Financial Aid Policy ). It is recommended that the verification documents be submitted at the same time as the application for financial aid. If student submit the electronic version of the application, it's hard copy and suporting documentation must be submitted within 10 working days.

  • AUCA Admission Application Form - or downloadable form (.doc)
  • A non-refundable application fee of 500 Kyrgyz Soms (or $15 USD)
  • Copy of high school diploma or vocational education certificate or if currently enrolled in high school, a document from current school certifying that an applicant is in the final year of study
    • (Note: Upon admission to AUCA, the original copy of graduation certificate or diploma with appendix must be submitted to the Office of Admissions)
  • Official copies (notarized photocopies) of any and all high school and university transcripts / marksheets
    • (Note: Upon admission to AUCA, applicants who have graduated from educational institutions outside of Kyrgyz Republic must present a document confirming they have obtained the equivalent of the Kyrgyz Republic’s state diploma of secondary education, equivalent to 11 years of school (for bachelor’s degree program applicants) and of higher education (for graduate program applicants). Upon arrival to the university, the document issued by the foreign academic institution and its notarized Russian translation (including transcripts / marksheets) must be submitted to the Ministry for Education of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to confirm the level and content of study completed. The Ministry will issue a certificate recognizing the applicant’s education, which should be submitted to the Office of Admissions to be kept on file).
  • Any and all Republic and International Olympiad Diplomas on specific subjects (FOR KYRGYZ CITIZENS & CIS APPLICANTS ONLY)
  • Copy of passport information pages and for non-Kyrgyz citizens living in Kyrgyzstan, a copy of the Kyrgyz Republic visa page (international students must check in with the International Affairs Office within 2 days of arrival to submit copies of their Kyrgyz Visa and complete Ministry of Internal Affairs registration paperwork)
  • Medical certificate, confirming all vaccinations and immunizations as well as health screenings for Tuberculosis (for applicants from the CIS, the Medical certificate is known as the Form 086-Y)
  • 4 Passport-style Photographs (3 x 4 cm – color)
  • Official English Test Certificate (only one English test certificate must be submitted):
    • AUCA Test of English Language Proficiency or
    • Official TOEFL Certificate (paper-based or internet-based) – REPORT TO AUCA INSTITUTION CODE 0419 or
  • Official Admission Exam Results (only one exam certificate must be submitted):
    • AUCA Admission Exam or
    • SAT Reasoning Test (SAT I) – REPORT TO AUCA INSTITUTION CODE 5825  or
    • ACT Test Plus Writing – REPORT TO AUCA INSTITUTION CODE 5479
  • Statement of Purpose:
    • BACHELOR'S/UNDERGRADUATE APPLICANTS – Please state your reasons for applying to the chosen program of the American University of Central Asia, and how your studies at AUCA will contribute toward your life goals; also tell us what you feel most enthusiastic about and whether this has influenced your life in any way. Limit your statement of purpose to 700 words. Please attach your statement of purpose to this application.

· English Exam – AUCA English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT)
· Math test – a 1.5-hour exam of high school mathematics proficiency
· Written Essay – a 1.5-hour written essay in English on a general essay topic
